Peace and Disarmament
SGI-USA is dedicated to promoting a culture of peace at the grassroots. The abolition of nuclear weapons is a key goal of SGI worldwide, and it aims to raise awareness about this crucial issue through a number of projects. These include exhibitions such as “From a Culture of Violence to a Culture of Peace: Transforming the Human Spirit” and “Everything You Treasure – For a World Free From Nuclear Weapons,” petition drives, the “People’s Decade for Nuclear Abolition” campaign, and the “Our New Clear Future” initiative launched by SGI-USA youth. SGI groups also run workshops on nonviolence as part of the“Victory Over Violence” project.
